ARBOR SONUS è una performance sonora outdoor che nasce nel 2019 da un'idea di Federico Ortica, sviluppata insieme a Tetraktis Percussioni, dove gli alberi vengono utilizzati come corpi risonanti, veri e propri strumenti in grado di offrire sfumature timbriche uniche ed assolutamente inedite. Il bosco si trasforma in un anfiteatro naturale creando così una dimensione aumentata del paesaggio, strumenti a percussione aumentati; così si trasformano queste creature essenziali, anche tramite la procedura del "live electronics"; quattro alberi suonati da quattro percussionisti che eseguono un repertorio contemporaneo composto ad hoc per il bosco con i reali suoni del bosco, quindi degli alberi, in uno spettacolo altamente coinvolgente sia per il pubblico adulto e di ogni età, che per i bambini.
Arbor Sonus è una performance musicale ed artistica dove non sono oscillatori né sensori che suonano, ma è il suono vero degli alberi, ripreso da particolari microfoni derivanti dalla ricerca di Federico Ortica, ed offerto al pubblico nella sua "naturale elaborazione". Attraverso questi microfoni il suono prodotto è captato ed elaborato in tempo reale, restituendo la spazializzazione attraverso l'elaborazione spaziale con un sistema di diffusione sonora in Dolby Surround 5.1 in pieno stile cinematografico. Il bosco con l'audio di una sala cinematografica! La sensazione risultante sarà quella di una "danza" degli alberi intorno al pubblico che avrà la percezione sonora che insieme alla musica prodotta dal legno, dagli alberi e dai musicisti, gli alberi si esibiscano anche in un balletto virtuale girando intorno ad esso.
Arbor Sonus è uno spettacolo unico al mondo perché mai realizzato prima né per i contenuti né per la particolare e meticolosa realizzazione tecnica.

ARBOR SONUS is an outdoor sound performance born in 2019 from an idea by Federico Ortica, developed together with Tetraktis Percussioni where trees are used as resonant bodies, real instruments capable of offering unique and absolutely unprecedented timbral nuances. The forest is transformed into a natural amphitheater thus creating an increased dimension of the landscape, increased percussion instruments; this is how these essential creatures are transformed, also through the "live electronics" procedure; four trees played by four percussionists who perform a contemporary repertoire composed specifically for the forest with the real sounds of the forest, therefore of the trees, in a highly engaging show both for the adult audience of all ages and for children.
Arbor Sonus is a musical and artistic performance where there are no oscillators or sensors that sound but it is the real sound of the trees, taken up by particular microphones deriving from Federico Ortica's research, and offered to the public in its "natural elaboration". Through these microphones the sound produced is captured and processed in real time, restoring spatialization through spatial processing with a Dolby Surround 5.1 sound diffusion system in full cinematographic style. The forest with the sound of a cinema! The resulting sensation will be that of a "dance" of the trees around the audience who will have the sound perception that together with the music produced by the wood, the trees and the musicians, the trees are also performing a virtual ballet by turning around it.
Arbor Sonus is a unique show in the world because it has never been created before, neither for its contents nor for its particular and meticulous technical implementation.
