VÆVER è un sostantivo danese che significa tessitore (come weaver in inglese), ma è anche un aggettivo che indica un movimento agile ed elegante. La parola è stata scelta per intitolare un progetto che offre un punto di vista inedito e stimolante nel campo della performance d’improvvisazione.  Emanuele Maniscalco, polistrumentista affermato di origini bresciane, sviluppa un linguaggio profondo ed essenziale, prendendo spunto da diverse influenze che spaziano dal jazz all’ambient music, dalla musica pop alla sperimentazione. Ogni idea musicale è tradotta attraverso le azioni coreografiche di Camilla Monga e il risultato è tanto potente quanto delicato: Væver diviene un luogo in cui il limite diventa forza, coabitato da danza e musica. La coreografia è concepita come una trama in continua evoluzione in cui la ripetizione diviene forma di cambiamento. Il corpo è alter-ego della performance musicale che tramite una combinazione ciclica di immagini si fa interprete di come vede il mondo o lo vorrebbe vedere.

VÆVER, in Danish, is the word for 'weaver', but it can also be used to describe someone moving in an agile and elegant way. The word was originally picked as a title for a project that offers an unprecedented and stimulating point of view in the field of the improvised performance. Emanuele Maniscalco, an established multi-instrumentalist from Brescia, develops a profound and essential language, drawing inspiration from various influences ranging from jazz to ambient music, from pop to experimental. Each musical idea is translated into choreographic actions by Camilla Monga and the result is as powerful as it is delicate: Væver becomes a place where the limit becomes strength, cohabited by dance and music. The choreography is conceived as a constantly-evolving plot in which repetition becomes a form of change. The body is the alter-ego of the musical performance which, through a cyclic combination of images, interprets how it sees the world or would like to see it.
